How To Create Categories In Blogger

categories are very useful for your site because if have categories then

your site visitors can easily access your site choosing there desired categories they can see

posts of that category only and it makes easy for visitors to filter posts and see what they wanna see

in this tutorial i am gonna show you how to create categories in your blogger site.

How To Create Categories In Blogger

to create categories in blogger we filter our post with labels

so for blogger platform your post labels are your categories

when you are creating new post you can see Posting option in Right sidebar

there is a labels option that helps you to filter your posts by labels and create categories.

i take this screen shoot when i was creating a blogger post so i choose blogger label

just click on labels you will see text box as you can in above screen shoot just type your label

here and click Done.

example you are going to create post on mobile then write mobile in text box

and change your all mobiles posts labels to mobile

now your mobile category is ready

now go to layout

and click on Add a Gadget option from section where you wanna show your categories

if you wanna show your categories in sidebar then from sidebar click on

Add a Gadget

a new window will appear from this window select Labels widget now you will see new page which look like following screen shoot.

in this page you can choose selected labels or all labels

sorting and display

after selecting your labels click on Save your categories are ready.

to show it on your blog by using link you can use following link

http://www.yoursite.com/search/label/mobile

to show 5 post on a page just add following string at the of link

http://www.yoursite.com/search/label/computer?&max-results=5

to show more then 5 post on a page just change 5 to 10 20 or your desired number.
